Bill Sproule is a Professor Emeritus, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Michigan Technological University, in Houghton, MI. Bill has almost 50 years of government, consulting, teaching and research experience in Canada and the United States. At Michigan Tech he taught and conducted research in airport design, transportation planning, traffic engineering, public transit, and hockey history. He is fellow in ASCE and has made several presentations and has been involved on the organizing teams for numerous International Conferences on Automated People Movers. In retirement he has published two hockey history books - "Houghton: the Birthplace of Professional Hockey", and "Michigan Tech Hockey: 100 Years of Memories", and a football book, "Michigan Tech Football: The First 100 Years."
