Alex graduated from the University of Virginia with a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering. While at UVA, he became interested in how to adapt to climate change and more extreme weather events. After graduating, Alex spent 1 year pursuing a Master’s in Professional Science at the University of Miami, studying Marine Conservation with an emphasis on coastal resiliency. While there, he focused his studies on living shorelines and other green engineering projects. Recently, Alex transferred to the University of Georgia to join Dr Matthew Bilskie's Coastal Ocean Analysis and Simulation Team (COAST) Lab to and get an MS in Civil Engineering.
