Shubhankar Shindgikar is a motivated and ambitious Graduate Student at The University of South Florida pursuing transportation with a focus on Data Analytics and Connected Autonomous Vehicles. He also has a Master’s in mechanical engineering with over 5 years of combined academic, research, and professional experience in the domain of data analytics, advanced statistics, and data modeling. He has a strong statistical modeling background with demonstrated project work with external agencies.
Shubhankar has worked in turnpike agencies and supported the data analytics program at RS&H, USF-CUTR, Golden Gate Bridge, and the NCTA. He has hands-on experience performing data analysis and visualizations in R, SAS, Python, Tableau, and Power BI. Shubhankar was responsible for automating the data pipelines and developing statistical models at USF-CUTR. During his stint at the NCTA, Shubhankar worked on the tolling back-office data analytics and reporting in Power BI along with operations data. Shubhankar also has experience conducting before-after case studies for the FDOT for smart work zones, safety projects, and connected and automated vehicle technology testing.
Shubhankar, throughout his career, has been a team player, collaborative with peers, and always searching for ways to integrate valuable insights.
