Haley Townsend, PMP, SSM, is a Data Scientist and Project Manager in Surface Transportation at Noblis where she leverages her expertise in public policy, data analytics, visualization, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) to support some of U.S. DOT's Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Programs. She has also contributed to a variety of AI/ML focused research projects with the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP), including NCHRP 03-137 "Algorithms to Convert Basic Safety Messages into Traffic Measures" and NCHRP 23-16 "Implementing and Leveraging ML at State DOTs" as well as internal Noblis R&D.
Haley received her M.S. from Carnegie Mellon University in Public Policy & Management, Data Analytics Track.
