I obtained my master’s degree in 2019, Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU), China, and my major is Safety Science and Engineering. After my graduation, I joined Air China Cargo, Beijing, China, which is known as the largest cargo airline in China. My job title is Aviation Safety Information Manager. Benefiting from my work, I have rich statistics analysis experience on aviation safety data. After working for over three years and having a clear understanding of the pros and cons of both industries and academia, I finally decided to jump out of my comfort zone and come back to university. Fortunately, I joined the University of Wisconsin Madison as a Ph.D. student. My current research topic is traffic flow control with emerging mobility technology.
