Vitor is currently involved in research to assess railroad track structural capacity using track inspection equipment. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Sao Joao del Rei (2021) in Brazil, and he is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, focusing on railroad infrastructure related research. Vitor also had a background of two years in a major Brazilian railroad company as a track inspector engineer responsible for inspecting railway tracks, turnouts, and other related components.
