Francesca Liburdy graduated from the UW Civil & Environmental Engineering Department with a focus on Transportation Engineering. She spent the first 8 years of her career in transportation planning and engineering consulting, working on multimodal planning efforts, ADA transition planning, safety planning documents, and traffic impact analyses. In 2023 Francesca joined the City of Redmond as a Senior Transportation Planner and has enjoyed using her engineering and planning background to help Redmond’s transportation network continue to be safe and accessible for people of all modes and abilities. Through her planning work, she hopes to make technical transportation solutions accessible for a wide audience.
