Dr. Maree graduated as an undergraduate from Ain Shams University in Cairo. Obtained his PhD in Structural Engineering at University of Nevada Reno.
Dr. Maree joined Innova Technologies in 2018 as a project manager for Cairo monorail project 100 km of guideway structures. This experience has got him involved in several design, research, and construction projects to facilitate work progress and solve complex practical problems. He participated in the management of international monorail projects (Cairo- Egypt, Santiago de los Caballeros -Dominican Republic, Monterrey - Mexico, and Los Angeles - California) to ensure that projects are executed efficiently, meet client requirements, and adhere to timelines and budgets. He has been actively involved in marketing of monorail systems in Africa, Middle East, North and South America.
Dr. Maree has been working in the structural design field and transportation systems since 2007. He has participated in various tasks, such as design of reinforced concrete buildings, box girder and steel plate girder bridge decks, monorail guideway structures, structural details and connections, plate girder steel bridge supporting monorail guide-way beams, and monorail switch structures.
Through his previous experience as Senior Research Engineer at Turner Fairbank Structures Laboratory (FHWA), he was assigned as the principal investigator for a research project to assess the performance of utilizing UHPC on the top flange of steel bridge girder. He was working in a production lab environment carrying out structural engineering research focused on bridges and developing and executing research work plans.
He has been a visiting assistant professor at Ain Shams University since 2017.
