With 30 years of experience in a wide variety of transportation planning and engineering projects since graduating from Northeastern University, Mr. Murphy brings a deep level of expertise to public and private clients. His experience spans a wide array of engineering work and has focused during periods of his career on pedestrian/bicycle facilities and rail trails, and at other times included a variety of projects from traffic calming and complete streets assignments to large highway projects such as Boston's Central Artery/Tunnel Project, and tolling conversions. He has been involved with T&DI's Street and Highway Operations Committee since 2010 and is presently Vice Chair of its newest Committee - Active Transportation, which focuses on the advancement of non-motorized modes of transportation.
