Dr. Han has a broad range of curiosities in the characteristics and the detection of system abnormalities, operational problems, mass evacuation, near-optimal solutions, freight logistics, and multimodal sensor data of various kinds, particularly those pertaining to transportation systems. He has conducted over $25 million worth of research projects for agencies including US DOE, US DOT, US DOD, NSF, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, as well as a number of state DOTs and major US metropolises.
