Dr. Li is an Associate Professor, with the Williams Professorship at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Oklahoma State University (OSU), USA. Dr. Li has a multi-disciplinary background in transportation safety, pavement design, automated infrastructure condition evaluation, sensor instrumentation and data automation, transportation asset management, big data analytics, and statistical methods. His research has been supported by Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the National Corporative Highway Research Program (NCHRP), Southern Plains Transportation Center (SPTC), and multiple state departments of transportation (DOT).
Dr. Li has published more than 100 papers in major journals and international conferences in the area of civil infrastructure systems. He is currently an Associate Editor for the ASCE Journal of Infrastructure Systems and Advances in Data Science and Adaptive Analysis, and an Editorial Board member for the International Journal of Pavement Research and Technology. Dr. Li is a senior member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He serves on many professional committees, such as the ASCE Infrastructure Systems Committee (ISC) and the AI Task Committee; the TRB AFD10 Committee of Pavement Management Systems, AFD20 Committee of Pavement Condition Evaluation, AFD90 Committee of Pavement Surface Properties and Vehicle Interaction.
