FARRUKH BAIG received the B.S. degree in city and regional planning from the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan, in 2016, and the M.S. degree in transportation planning and management from the Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, Liaoning, China, in 2017. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in traffic engineering with Central South University, Changsha, Hunan, China. In 2017, he has worked as a Research Associate
(urban planning) with The Urban Unit (Pvt.) Ltd., Lahore, Pakistan. Since 2017, he has been a registered Town Planner affiliated with the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners. He has attended multiple international conferences and involved in writing and reviewing research articles. His research interests include automated vehicles, smart cities, road safety, transportation planning, transport policy, and urban management. Mr. Baig became a member of the American Society of Civil Engineering
in 2020. He was a recipient of the Medal for Excellence (Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan), in 2016, and the Chinese Government Scholarship (China Scholarship Council) for postgraduate studies.
