Samer Katicha PhD, PE has over twenty years of experience in the areas of pavement management, design, evaluation, performance prediction and modeling, asphalt mixes quality measures and indicators, and advanced asphalt material characterization and modeling. He has been co-PI on 10 research projects including the following: “Operation and Management of the Accelerate Pavement Testing Facility at VTTI,” “Guidance to Predict and Mitigate Dynamic Hydroplaning on Roadways,” the “Network Level Pavement Structural Testing with the TSD,” “High RAP High Binder Mixes” and the “Development of Pavement Structural Capacity Requirements for Innovative Pavement Decision-Making and Contracting”. Dr. Katicha has published over 60 journal articles, conference papers, and technical reports. He is a member of TRB Committee AFD60 on Flexible Pavement Design and TRB Committee AFD80 on Pavement Structural Modeling and Evaluation.
