Dr. Steven T. Parker is the Managing Director of the Wisconsin Traffic Operations and Safety (TOPS) Laboratory, part of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In this capacity, he has led the development of numerous large-scale information technology and systems integration projects for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) and other agency research partners. His research interests include advanced computing in transportation, transportation safety, advanced traffic management systems, connected and autonomous vehicles, predictive analytics, and GIS in transportation. Dr. Parker is currently serving in his second term as the Chair of the TRB Information Systems and Technology Committee (AED30).
