Mark Seferian is a graduate research assistant in College of Engineering at the University of Georgia. His research lies in using machine/deep learning methods to solve problems in the transportation field. He has two ongoing research projects. The first project is developing a deep learning algorithm capable of removing the visual hindrance caused by rain droplets to make live camera images closely resemble clear, rain-free images. The second project is related to E-Mobility, where the project’s goal is to develop a hierarchical Reinforcement Learning (RL) algorithm to plan and operate EV charging stations.
