Satish V Ukkusuri is a Professor in the Lyles School of Civil Engineering at Purdue University since July 2014. He is recognized internationally in the area of transportation network modeling and disaster management. He leads the Urban Mobility Network Intelligence Lab at Purdue. His research emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinary notions that exist in multiple disciplines to produce solutions to the complex and multifaceted problems in infrastructure networks. He has published more than 300 peer reviewed journal and conference papers in the above topics. His work has been funded by various grants including the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Transportation, and various State Departments of Transportation.
