Sultan Ali, a Traffic & ITS Engineer at CHA, holds a Ph.D. from Florida International University and a Master's degree from Florida Atlantic University in Civil Engineering, with a specialization in transportation engineering. Sultan has over eight years of combined academic and consulting experience across all fields of transportation engineering. He specializes in transportation technologies, traffic operations and maintenance, intelligent transportation systems, public transportation, TSMO strategies, traffic simulations, and transportation safety. He has a profound interest in emerging technologies and electric vehicle infrastructure. As a researcher, Sultan has assisted local, state, and federal transportation agencies by conducting high-quality research that resulted in over 40 peer-reviewed journal publications and conferences. Recently, Sultan was nominated and approved as a full member in Sigma Xi – the scientific research honor society. Currently, Sultan serves as the Treasurer of South Florida Section of ITE.
