Yiran Zhang is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at the University of Washington. Her research interest focuses on the data bias problem, specifically for the negative collected data. She has also worked on projects of traffic safety and exploration of drones application in transportation fields and road network simulation design (such as Vissim, SUMO, and Synchro). Yiran has a bachelor's degree in Railway Engineering (2012) from Southwest Jiaotong University and a master’s degree at CEE at UW. Before starting her doctorate, she worked as an intern for State Safety Oversight at Washington DOT.
