Juan Pablo Covarrubias is a distinguished Civil Engineer with a degree from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. His expertise lies in the intricate study of rigid pavement behavior under varying vehicular loads and environmental conditions. Proficient in utilizing advanced tools such as ME Design software and Finite Elements for slab on ground, he offers invaluable insights into rational analysis and mechanical responses of supported slabs on ground, encompassing pavements and floors.
As the General Manager of TCPavements®, Mr. Covarrubias plays a pivotal role in the strategic development and execution of the TCPavements business model. This multifaceted responsibility encompasses promotion, design, sales, product implementation, and negotiations with potential agents across diverse markets. Moreover, he leads the charge in research and development efforts, consistently pushing the boundaries of technology to innovate variations and associated technologies. Over the years, he has overseen the successful realization of more than 500 projects in pavement design and construction.
Beyond his corporate undertakings, Mr. Covarrubias imparts his profound knowledge as a Professor in Concrete Technology and Materials Engineering at the University of Los Andes. He also instructs courses on Pavement Design and Construction at the renowned Universidad de Chile. His leadership extends to his role as the Director of ISCP (International Society for Concrete Pavements), where he spearheads the Transfer Technology Committee, catalyzing advancements in the field.
