Dr. Qi earned her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (transportation) and a M.S. in Applied Statistics, both from Louisiana State University. She is also a licensed professional engineer registered in Louisiana. Currently, Dr. Qi is an associate professor with Civil Engineering Department at SIUE. Dr. Qi’s research interests lie within the broad area of transportation engineering with a focus on transportation safety, transportation data mining & statistical analysis, and winter maintenance. Currently, she is conducting research on older people safety, distracted driver behaviors, and snow fence program evaluation.
