Dr. Zeinab Bandpey is a mathematician with a Ph.D. in computational and industrial Mathematics from Morgan
State University. Her doctoral research focused on optimizing snow emergency operations, reducing costs, and
improving truck routing. She furthered her expertise by obtaining certifications in Machine Learning from MIT
and Data Science from IBM. Currently, she serves as a postdoctoral research associate at Morgan State
University, where she is involved in multiple projects. Notably, she contributed to a DDOT-funded project
involving travel mode choice models using machine learning and revenue prediction. Additionally, she worked on
an AASHTO-funded project exploring commute equity through various machine learning techniques, aiming to
identify influential factors for transportation planners and policymakers to enhance accessibility and inclusivity in
commute management.
