Muhammad Waleed Bin Tariq is a young transportation professional currently serving as the founding chief coordinator at Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), Pakistan section where he is actively working for professional development and research work in the mobility sector of Pakistan. He also works as a Transport Engineer at the Lahore Metrobus System (LMBS), one of the biggest mass-transit projects in Pakistan. In research, he has contributed to three impactful papers, covering topics such as female mobility using e-scooters in a socio-religious context, the usability of pedestrian signals in Lahore, and asphalt modification, reflecting his commitment to advancing transportation engineering. His research interests lie in merging transportation planning expertise with AI/ML applications, thus he equipped himself with the necessary knowledge and skills by pursuing post-graduate courses in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Other than professional life, Waleed chairs MUN debates and is involved in current affairs study circles. His leadership extends to his past presidency of the MUN Society and the ITE student chapter at his university, leaving a lasting legacy.
