Hyeonsup Lim is a R&D associate staff in Transportation Analytics & Decision Sciences Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. One of the major projects that Hyeonsup is involved in is to build Freight Analysis Framework (so-called “FAF”) that provides a comprehensive picture of U.S. nationwide freight movement among major metropolitan areas by all modes of transportation. During his Ph.D. at University of Tennessee, Hyeonsup also worked in developing a license plate matching algorithm, evaluating real-time traffic data, estimating error distribution of multiple data sources in the connected vehicle environment. Before joining Oak Ridge National Laboratory, he also worked on validation of anti-money laundering models at Bank of America. His research interests include freight flows, statistical modeling, machine learning, traffic flow theories, and connected/autonomous vehicles.
