Seyed Meisam Alavi is currently a Ph.D. student at IUST where he finished his M.Sc. and BSc(Eng) in 2019 and 2017, respectively. His research interests include numerical modeling (finite element method and finite difference method) with FLAC and PLAXIS programs, geosynthetic reinforced soil (GRS) structures, seismic geotechnics, earth dams, and tall structures. He also has good experience in teaching civil courses at university.
He is also a geotechnical engineer at Baspar Pey Iranian (BPI) Company in the soil improvement division since 2022. He has experienced several soil improvement projects using Deep Soil Mixing and Jet Grouting methods in Iran in Bushehr, Jask, Qeshm, Kelar Abad, etc.
