Mr. Lesh is an innovator and transportation expert with more than 20 years of experience in business development, strategy, and government. Currently, Mr. Lesh is an independent mobility strategist focusing on automated mobility and Managing Director at TESIAC, leading Business Development & Government Relations. Prior to TESIAC, Mr. Lesh worked for Local Motors as the Director of Mobility Systems. There he was responsible for developing the company’s go-to-market strategy for the debut of Olli, a 12-passenger, self-driving shuttle. Before that, Mr. Lesh was a Senior Analyst at Noblis, a science, technology and strategy organization dedicated to creating forward-thinking and advisory solutions in the public interest.
Mr. Lesh’s experience in transportation and mobility was gained working in the federal ecosystem developing, supporting, and executing policy and programs for the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT), working across the industry from research to technology deployment. During his tenure at USDOT, he implemented GHG reduction and mobility programs which helped establish the zero-emission bus and shared mobility markets within the U.S. Mr. Lesh has worked with transit agencies, cities, states, and emerging technology companies across the United States, Europe and Asia. Matt is an expert in the areas of public transportation, Transit Oriented Development, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Mobility on Demand, accessible technology, and paratransit service. He currently serves as the founding chair of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ Committee on Automated Transit Systems.
