Chenxi Liu received his bachelor’s degree from Civil Engineering at Tsinghua University (2017) in Beijing, China and then joined University of Washington, Seattle, WA, US. Since 2017, he has been a Research Assistant in Smart Transportation Research and Application Lab (STARLab). He is a student member of ASCE AI committee, ASCE Active Transportation Committee and a young member of TRB Standing Committee on Traffic Signal Systems (ACP25). He has published 14 papers in leading journals, 30 conference papers, and secured 3 patents. His work has earned recognition from prestigious organizations like TRB, IEEE, ASCE, USDOT, and AASHTO. He also serves as reviewers for IEEE ITS, CVPR, Journal of Intelligent Transportation Part A, etc. His research interests include computer vision (CV), edge computing, traffic sensing, transportation equity, and AI-related research.
