Matthew Rycraft
Matthew is an undergraduate student at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica, NY, as an assistant to Abolfazl Karimpour on his research of enhancing traffic safety for roadside responders with AI. Matthew is expected to graduate in May 2025. He has also recently become a school member for the American Society of Civil Engineers & Institute of Transportation Engineers. Over the last few years he has had much experience working out in the field as a construction inspector during the summer for the New York State Department of Transportation. Recently he has also started working in the design side of things for the NYSDOT. A few interesting facts include him having a sports background, having two pets, and loving to travel. Overall, he is always eager for new opportunities and to make new connections.
