M.S. Graduate Student
University of Connecticut, Dept. of Civil & Environmental Engineering
Storrs, CT, United States
My name is Rahul Anand. I am a graduate student pursuing a Master's degree in Structural Engineering at the Univesity of Connecticut. My experience in structural engineering includes both academic and professional work, with a focus on understanding the complex nature of structural systems. At UConn, I am involved in the dynamic analysis of a century-old bridge in Connecticut. My work utilizes field tests and the Finite Element Method to assess the structural integrity and the capacity of the bridge under different loading conditions.
In the professional field, I have worked as a Structural Engineer at Compass Engineering in Salt Lake City, UT. Here, I got the opportunity to work on various structural projects including designing and analyzing the structural performance of residential and commercial buildings. I also prepared the technical reports detailing the structural conditions, repairs and necessary conditions to ensure compliance with local buiolding codes.
My commitment to advancing structural engineering is evident in my ability to tackle complex challenges, contribute to research, and gain practical experience in both academic and professional settings. I am dedicated to making a lasting impact in the field of structural engineering. At the conference, i am here to connect with great reearchers and engineers in the field of civil and structural engineering. The opportunity to meet and engage with renowned researchers and experienced engineers at this conference is invaluable.
