Brian Staes, M.S., E.I., is a Ph.D. candidate under the direction of Dr. Robert L. Bertini and Dr. Haizhong Wang at Oregon State University. He graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a bachelor’s in civil engineering in 2018. Post-graduation Brian began working at the Center for Urban Transportation while pursuing his master’s degree in civil engineering at the University of South Florida, which he completed in 2020. He was the former Vice President for the Institute of Transportation Engineering (ITE) University of South Florida student chapter. His area of focus for his PhD is transportation engineering.
