A. Latif Patwary is a graduate research assistant in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Tennessee Knoxville (UTK). He holds a PhD in Transportation Engineering, a Master’s in Statistics and Data Science, and another Master’s in Transportation Economics from UTK. His main fields of research interests include transportation data and planning, travel behavior analysis, smart mobility, sustainability, freight, operations research models, and transportation safety. He received the prestigious McClure grant as a student principal investigator for conducting research on emerging urban mobility issues. Latif has authored six journal articles and two technical reports and presented 11 conference papers. He currently has three articles under review in various reputable transportation journals. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for the Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting and Transportation Research Record, having completed over 15 reviews. He also holds an administrator role for the Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems.
