Boyang Zhang, AICP (he/him/his)

Boyang Zhang is an innovative, self-motivated, passionate, and experienced urban planner with 10+ years of experience spanning across wide areas in the transportation planning field, with a passionate focus on emerging transportation technologies. Boyang is also the Chair of the Young Professional in Transportation (YPT) Houston Chapter from 2021 to 2023, then the Sponsorship Chair of YPT International from 2023 to present. Boyang has served in both public and private sectors, involved in both transportation planning and engineering fields.
Boyang joined AECOM in July 2022 as Transportation Planning Manager with a focus in new technologies and smart mobilities, part of the US West Transportation – Technology & Digital Group.
Boyang earned his master’s degree in Transportation and Infrastructure Planning from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems with a minor degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He earned his American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) from the American Planning Association (APA) in 2016.
