Sushil Bhatta is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). He is working under Dr. Mohsen Shahandashti. He completed his Bachelor in Civil Engineering from Pulchowk Campus, Tribhuwan University, Nepal. He worked as a Junior Civil Engineer in Sitara Consult Pvt. Ltd. for 9 months after his graduation. He joined Four Season Construction and Builders Pvt. Ltd. as a Design Engineer and worked for two and a half years. He joined The University of Texas at Arlington in September 2023. He is working on a project titled "Slope Repair and Maintenance Management Planning" for the Houston District of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). His research is primarily based on rapid, resilient, and sustainable geotechnical asset management focusing primarily on the highway embankments.
