Tia Boyd is a research associate with the Center for Urban Transportation Research at the University of South Florida. Her research focuses on transportation decision-making, with an emphasis on multimodal transportation planning, public participation, and the social impacts of transportation. She has led several projects developing methods and tools that support transportation planning processes. Tia has contributed to planning and engineering pedagogy with curricula for multimodal transportation planning, a textbook on multimodal transportation planning, and citizens' academies geared toward community empowerment through education. Tia has served in supporting roles for projects related to corridor planning, access management, and statewide and metropolitan policy, planning, and programming, and strategic and organizational management.
