Additional Chief Engineer
Roads and Highway Department, Bangladesh
I am Dr. Engr. Md. Abdullah Al Mamun, PEng, and the Additional Chief Engineer of Roads and Highways Department (RHD) and am heading the Technical Services Wings (TSW) and a member of Bangladesh Civil Service. I graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in Civil Engineering in 1996, did my MSc in Civil Engineering for international development and PhD in Change of Travel Behavior in Response to Sustainable Transport Policy from UK. I am a member of BAETE program evalution team and a member of Industrial Advisory Committee of BUET, MIST, NSU, IUT, and UAP. I have mentored numerous Professional Engineers of BPERB. I am also serving as a member of Technical Committee on Transport Planning of the PIARC (World Road Congress) and assistant to the First Delegate of Bangladesh to the PIARC from 2019 to 2023 cycle. I am the current central member of Civil Engineering Division IEB and actively involved in the relevant activities and different committees of IEB.
