Pooya is an engineering assistant at the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), where he actively contributes to the design and construction of various transportation infrastructure projects in the state of Texas. Prior to joining TxDOT, he was a research engineer at the "Analytics for Resilient Construction and Infrastructure Systems (ARCIS)" research lab at the University of Texas at Arlington. His research interests focus on developing theoretical foundations and practical applications to improve the safety and resilience of transportation infrastructure systems. His work has led to significant contributions to various infrastructure projects sponsored by esteemed organizations such as the Texas Department of Transportation and the Center for Transportation, Equity, Decisions, and Dollars (CTEDD).
